A Philosophical Journey

"Welcome to the heart of my winemaking journey, where science meets artistry, and a vivid vision guides the way. Crafting these wines is a passion-driven, artisanal process that allows each wine, whether red or white, to tell a unique and captivating story.

Every wine is a work of art. It possesses a structure, a body, and a multitude of intricate layers of flavors that gradually reveal themselves as you journey through a glass or as the wine ages gracefully in the bottle. It's a narrative that unfolds, with each sip offering a glimpse into the wine's past and a hint of its future.

The grapes that form the backbone of these creations are sourced from dry-farmed vineyards, where the vines have proudly stood for overĀ 40 years. These vineyards are nurtured with organic practices, respecting the land's natural rhythms and essence.

Take, for example, our Riesling. The picking decision is driven by the perfect balance of phenolic ripeness, beautifully coinciding with flavor ripeness. The quality of our vineyard makes this possible. These grapes are carefully hand-picked to preserve their pristine condition. Immediately after harvest, they are quickly cooled and then whole bunch-pressed, all to safeguard against oxidation.

Now, let's talk about our red wines, where the same vision is embraced, albeit at a very different level. We pick the grapes based on phenolic ripeness, just as with our whites. Fermentation is carried out with wild yeast, with a strong focus on gentle and profound extraction of the wine's structure, body, and flavors. The pressing is remarkably gentle, as much of the work has already been done upstream.

Following this meticulous process, our red wines undergo maturation in 100% French oak for approximately 18 months. Just like our whites, they receive minimal fining to preserve their natural essence.

The journey continues with each bottle, whether it's a vibrant Riesling or a complex Red. Each holds a piece of this passionate winemaking journey, a testament to the artistry of winemaking. It's a celebration of nature, science, and imagination, all harmoniously blended to create something truly exceptional in every sip. Cheers to the journey!"
