Winemaker

With a French background and over two decades of winemaking experience in Australia, Clémence Haselgrove's journey began in Bordeaux.

Inspired at the age of 18 by a memorable bottle of Médoc wine, Clémence knew her path was in the world of wine. Australia soon beckoned with opportunities to pursue her passion and explore diverse terroirs.

Her early years were shaped in Coonawarra, South Australia, working with Balnaves and Rymill Wines. Later, she dedicated herself to crafting Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz at Forest Hill in Western Australia from 2007 to 2012.

After 15 years of studying and experimenting with Australian soils, Clémence took her future into her own hands, launching her wine label in 2014 as L'Enclos du Tertre, now offering a range of Tertre wines.

Reflecting on her journey, she shared, "The remarkable terroir of Frankland River gave me the opportunity to interpret this land amidst a landscape of already exceptional Australian vineyards. Wine tasting transports you to a place, and when the wine is exceptional, you connect deeply with that location. That's why I am dedicated to the essence of sites."
